A Gift

As you are new here – and so am I – I have created a welcome gift for you.

This is a gift that you will use over and over again, for all types of situations, to help with all sized problems.

It is a Life Tool that you will carry with you to whip out at any moment, giving you the answers you need, the direction you want, the clarity of thought necessary, and the calm you would love to deal with any question.

Inside this gift box you will find me.  I will let you know about a time when I was quite overwhelmed with a big issue.  I pulled out my Life Tool and put it to work.  I got my answers, direction and the calm I needed to move forward.

I will show you how the Life Tool works, how to use, and what to use it for – ANYTHING!

So, go ahead, open your gift.  Just put in your details on the right there, and click through.

Let me know if you like it in the comments section below, because I love feedback.

WELCOME TO HOW TO HAPPINESS!

The Dalai Lama says Happiness our right

Just found this from the Dalai Lama, where he agrees with me (as mentioned in the introduction video) that Happiness is everyone’s human right.

“…naturally we want happiness – ‘I want happiness,’ ‘I do not want suffering’.  Not only is it natural, it is right.  It needs no further justification; it is a natural feeling validated simply by the fact that we naturally and correctly want happiness and do not want suffering.

Based on that feeling, we have the right to obtain happiness and the right to get rid of suffering.” The Dalai Lama, Kindness, Charity and Insight.

So we have it on good authority, we have a right to happiness, and every right to start to let go of suffering (or unhappiness).

If I had to say what the most important element was for me in bringing happiness into my life, it would have to be accepting change.

The way I lived, and thought, acted and felt was not bringing happiness my way, and once I decided I wanted a different outcome (happier self), I began to seek out what changes I needed to make. Having found HOW I needed to change, I then had to get my head around actually changing me.

I discovered that making change happen can be very difficult, scary, challenging. Change is something we generally avoid. Yet, without changing something, life would just stay as it is – and that isn’t really an option when you want more happiness!

That is why I wanted to get this out to you – Why Change is a Dirty Word, and how to do it ANYWAY!

The whole of the How To Happiness site is a showcase of ways to bring more happiness into life, and minimising unhappiness. It is all about ways to change how you live to bring about a different outcome on the happiness scale. So it is really important that we take an honest look at the challenges we all face when dealing with change. By being aware, and recognising why we avoid change, and using some good tips I have here, hopefully we can get past our resistance, and make the changes we need to bring happiness into our lives. This is the third video in the Introduction series, and covers why some people do not choose happiness, and why others Do choose happiness. It may give you some ideas on what may be holding you back from more happiness, and what others have used to motivate them to change toward happier lives.

Exercise: What is your motivation to seek happiness – what is driving you toward a change in lifestyle to gain more happiness?  Think about those things that have lead you to look for greater happiness, and how they can inspire you to move forward, and to try some new ways of living that will lead to a happier you.

Comments: In the comments section share how it feels to have made a decision to start being happier from NOW. It may be scary, or exciting, or fill you with hope and positive energy.

In this second introductory video I talk about deserving happiness, and whether it is available to everyone.  There is lots of good news in this one, and I am sure you will feel you have an option on being happier after seeing it!

Leave a comment in the comments section about deserving happiness, or how the survey went for you. This link will take you directly to the How to Happiness Happiness Survey.
